Kadampa Meditation Center Tampa Bay values the health and well-being of our community, volunteers and their families. Our main goal is to continue to provide a safe place of refuge for all visitors to our Temple. Success in this endeavor depends on all of us working together.
What we are doing for you
- Providing alcohol based sanitizers for your hands
- Providing alcohol based wipes for surfaces
- Enhancing our cleaning and disinfecting routine throughout our building
- Posting signs and sending out emails to inform everyone of precautionary measures we can all take
What you can do for us
- Wash your hands often and well with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds.
- Reduce physical contact with others. It's OK to not hug or shake hands - consider an elbow greeting instead.
- If you feel any symptoms, especially fever, dry cough or shortness of breath, please stay home.
- Use disinfectant wipes – we are providing to wipe down frequently touched areas in the bathroom, like faucet handles, doorknobs, flush handle, cell phones, etc.
- Alert us if you have been at the temple recently and experience symptoms or are diagnosed with COVID-19.
- Meditate and dedicate for the health and well-being of others. By healing our own minds, we can heal the world
Advice from the CDC
In addition to the points above, the CDC advises the best ways to reduce the risk of getting this or any viral respiratory infection include:
- Wash your hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Clean and disinfect objects and surfaces.
- Stay at home away from others if you are sick.
- Cover mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing, then throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands.
