Every day we remember the extraordinary kindness of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, our Root Guru and Founder of the New Kadampa Tradition. But on the auspicious day of June 4, Venerable Geshe-la's birthday, at Kadampa centers around the world, with minds of rejoicing and gratitude, we offer him our faith using the special prayer "Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from his Faithful Disciples." On this day, we will engage in a special one-day retreat reciting our Guru's name mantra and then Offering to the Spiritual Guide prayers with tsog (food) offering in the evening. Everyone is welcome.
