Meditation is the heart of Buddhist practice. Kadampa Buddhists meditate throughout the day, whether informally during all our daily activities, during formal sessions, or both.
Every day at KMC Tampa Bay, regular chanted prayer and meditation sessions, called pujas are held. They combine meditation, visualisation and recitation of prayers and mantras. Most of these sessions are free and open to the public. They take place in our beautiful meditation room in front of the main shrine at Safety Harbor.
Our public pujas include:
- Daily heart commitment practice Wishfulfilling Jewel (weekday afternoons around 5:00 or 5:30 and Sundays at 12:30)
- Offering to the Spiritual Guide (Done every month on the 10th and 25th)
- Prayers to Mother Tara: Liberation from Sorrow (Done on the 8th of every month)
- Melodious Drum also known as Long Protector Puja (Done on the 29th of every month)
Please see the calendar for details and contact us if you have any questions about the sessions.
*Note: Vajrayogini practice is offered daily for those who have received Vajrayogini Empowerment. Please contact us for details.
